On Sunday, January 17th, Jeffrey Eggleston ran 2:14:32 at the P.F. Chang's Rock 'n' Roll Arizona Marathon en route to a sixth place finish overall. He was also the first American and first Arizona resident. His time easily eclipses the 2:19 Olympic Trials "A" Standard.  Jeffrey, who is sponsored by Marathonguide.com, Brooks, and Cytosport, is off to an excellent start in 2010. In a span of three days, Shadrack won the mile, 10k, and half marathon races held in Bermuda. On Friday night, he ran a 4:11 road mile, followed by a 29:34 10k the next morning, capped by a 1:06:14 hilly half marathon on the final day of racing. Shadrack will continue to do winter road races before the spring track season begins…

Sally earned that spot with her fifth place finish at the USA Marathon Championships in Twin Cities with a new PR of 2:35:49 along with her 2:35:52 previous PR set last January at the Phoenix Rock 'N' Roll Marathon…

Shadrack Biwott is a 2009 University of Oregon grad, where he ran Personal Bests of 7:55 (3k), 13:36 (5k), 28:28 (10k).  While at Oregon, he was a four-time NCAA All-American in Cross Country and Track and was the Individual 2007 Pac-10 Cross Country Champion.  Shadrack continues to live in Eugene, Oregon and runs for the Nike sponsored Oregon Track Club…

On Sunday, December 6, Empire Athletics athletes scored a victory and runner-up finish at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon and Rock 'N' Roll Las Vegas Marathon, respectively.  Albina Mayorova-Ivanov was the Singapore Champion by two minutes with a time of 2.32.49, while Alevtina Ivanova placed second in Las Vegas in 2:30:05 after being passed in the final stretch by Caroline Rotich of Kenya.   Sally Meyerhoff  ran the Las Vegas Half Marathon with a strong tempo effort,  finishing  fifth.

On Thanksgiving Day, Jeffrey finished tenth overall with a new 5k PR of 14:11 at the Applied Material SiliconValley Turkey Trot. This is Jeff's final race before he will make his marathon debut at P.F. Chang's Phoenix Rock'N'Roll Marathon in January…
