On Sunday, December 6, Empire Athletics athletes scored a victory and runner-up finish at the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon and Rock ‘N’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon, respectively.  Albina Mayorova-Ivanov was the Singapore Champion by two minutes with a time of 2.32.49, while Alevtina Ivanova placed second in Las Vegas in 2:30:05 after being passed in the final stretch by Caroline Rotich of Kenya.   Sally Meyerhoff  ran the Las Vegas Half Marathon with a strong tempo effort,  finishing  fifth.
