Luke is a 2002 graduate of Notre Dame and currently pursuing his Ph.D. in accounting at Penn State University, where he will graduate in 2013.  A professional runner since 2003, Luke has excelled as a 1500/3kSC/5k specialist on the track as well as on the roads. He holds personal bests of 3:57 (mile), 7:49 (3k), 8:36 (3k SC), 13:38 (5k), 1:03:51 (half marathon) and 2:15:29 (marathon).   In addition to his fast times, he has been a USA National Team Member in Cross Country, Outdoor Track, and Road Racing. In 2004, he was the runner-up at both the USA 3k Indoor Championships and the USA 4k Cross Country Championships. He went on to finish 36th at the World Cross Country Championships in the same year.  Most recently, Luke finished 7th overall in his marathon debut at the 2009 Twin Cities Marathon. He is a 2004, 2008 and  2012 Olympic Trials qualifier and will run the Marathon at the next Olympic Trials in Houston 2012.
