The first ever NCAA All-American from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, Trent’s breakthrough came in 2004 when he emerged on the USA road running scene with a fourth-place finish at the 2004 Olympic marathon trials in Birmingham, Ala., which ultimately earned him a spot on the U.S. marathon team for the 2005 IAAF World Championships in Helsinki, Finland.

Trent currently trains in Flagstaff, AZ, and most recently finished sixth in the California International Marathon, running 2:16:30. He also notched PRS in the 15k (45:02), half marathon (1:04:55), and 25k (1:17:54) distances in 2009.
