Less than two weeks from her 9th place finish at the Pan American Games Marathon, Camille Herron ran 2:40:06, her fastest marathon time this year, at the ING New York City Marathon. This was her sixth and final marathon of 2011 and her performance was good enough to place her 18th overall and 3rd among Americans.  Camille's next marathon will be at the USA Olympic Marathon Trials in January 2012…

Camille Herron placed 9th in 2:51:29 at the Pan American Games Marathon in Guadalajara, Mexico.  The race, held at 4pm central time, was contested in hot, humid conditions at a mile above sea level. In her first attempt at the distance, Tonya Nero won the Prairie Fire Half Marathon in Wichita, Kansas, with a time of 1:15:42.  Camille Herron finished second in 1:17:14, running at marathon pace effort in preparation for the Pan American Games and ING New York City Marathons later this month…

Camille Herron has been selected to represent the United States at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico, where she will compete in the marathon. The race will take place at 4pm on Sunday, October 23rd at 5.138 feet elevation.  Two weeks later she will run the New York City Marathon.  You can read her blog post here

Carlos Trujillo, Camille Herron, and Ariana Hilborn traveled to Northport, Long Island to compete at the 34th annual Great Cow Harbor 10k road race, where Carlos finished a strong 2nd in 29:13.  Camille and Ariana also ran well, placing 6th and 8th in a very competitive field, both earning new personal bests of 34:39 and 35:18 respectively…

Luke Watson won the Scheels Fargo Marathon on Saturday in 2:22:50 while Camille Herron placed first in the women's division and was 11th overall in 2:43:41.  This was Luke's second marathon win of the year and Camille's third win in four attempts. With temperatures in the low 60s and high humidity, conditions were not ideal for fast times but both athletes won with few challenges from competitors. Click here to read a recap on Camille's race

At the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon, a half marathon, Camille Herron and Tyler McCandless both placed in the top ten of the elite professional field.  Camille set a new personal best of 1:16:36 as she was the fastest Indiana runner and fourth woman overall. Camille Herron won her second marathon of the year and third in four months when she finished first at the Napa Valley Marathon. She ran a commanding 2:42:20, more than four minutes ahead of the second place finisher, on a rainy and windy day. Next up for Camille is the Gate River 15k in Jacksonville, FL.  …
