Athletes run well at Rock ‘N’ Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon

Four athletes were at the highly competitive Rock 'N' Roll Philadelphia Half Marathon on Sunday, with two earning new personal bests at the distance. Shadrack Biwott placed 17th in 1:03:56, while Tyler McCandless was not far behind in 24th in 1:04:59 (PR). Jacques Sallberg, who struggled with Achilles pain, was 47th in 1:07:35. Katarina Janoskiva earned a new personal best of 1:15:45, placing 22nd in the women's race. Shadrack Biwott is a 2009 University of Oregon grad, where he ran Personal Bests of 7:55 (3k), 13:36 (5k), 28:28 (10k). While at Oregon, he was a four-time NCAA All-American in Cross Country and Track and was the Individual 2007 Pac-10 Cross Country Champion.
