In a race that found Tyler weaving among 4:30 marathoners and taking wrong turns only to be re-routed, Tyler managed to win the San Francisco 2nd Half Marathon in a new personal best of 1:05:01. On March 21st, three Empire Athletics athletes - Shadrack Biwott, Sally Meyerhoff, and Trent Briney - all competed in the new spring edition of the NYC Half Marathon. Shadrack continued his dominance on the roads with 1:01:52, good for fifth place overall.  In 9th place at the 10k mark, Shadrack moved up steadily over the second half of the race and cruised to the finish with yet another sub 1:02 half marathon in a span of three weeks. On Saturday, March 13th, Trent Briney cruised to a comfortable win at the NYRR 8000 despite heavy rain and cold temperatures. The race is a tune up for the New York City Half Marathon on March 21st.
