Jeffrey qualifies for IAAF World Championships Marathon at Twin Cities

Jeffrey Eggleston ran a 23 second PR to finish second in 2:14:09 at the Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon, which serves as the USA Marathon Championships.  His second place finish ensures a spot on Team USA at the IAAF World Championship Marathon to be held next August in Daegu, South Korea. Also at Twin Cities was Trent Briney, who finished a strong 8th in 2:17:47. Sally Meyerhoff ran the USA 10  Mile Championship, finishing 5th in 55:22. Click

Tyler McCandless wins San Francisco 2nd Half Marathon

In a race that found Tyler weaving among 4:30 marathoners and taking wrong turns only to be re-routed, Tyler managed to win the San Francisco 2nd Half Marathon in a new personal best of 1:05:01. Empire Athletics athletes run strong in NYC

shadrack-nyc-half-31On March 21st, three Empire Athletics athletes - Shadrack Biwott, Sally Meyerhoff, and Trent Briney - all competed in the new spring edition of the NYC Half Marathon. Shadrack continued his dominance on the roads with 1:01:52, good for fifth place overall.  In 9th place at the 10k mark, Shadrack moved up steadily over the second half of the race and cruised to the finish with yet another sub 1:02 half marathon in a span of three weeks. Trent wins in New York, Kelly is top 10 in Jacksonville

The race is a tune up for the New York City Half Marathon on March 21st. Meanwhile, Kelly Jaske finished tenth at the Gate River Run, the 2010 USATF 15k Championship. She also led the New York Athletic Club to a third place finish in the team competition…
