Stephanie Reilly runs in the European Team Championships

Stephanie Reilly placed 4th in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the European Team Championships in 9:53.79.  The Championships were held in Izmir, Turkey and Ireland placed 10th out of 12 teams…

Matt Gabrielson and Tyler McCandless run personal bests at Grandmas

Matt Gabrielson placed 6th in Grandmas Marathon on Saturday, lowering his personal best by four minutes to 2:13:28.  Tyler McCandless was 11th in 2:17:09, also a new record for him.  Matt will now head to the Olympic Trials Marathon seeded in the top ten among all entrants. Pasca Cheruiyot wins Litchfield Hills Road Race

Pasca Cheruiyot won the Litchfield Hills Road Race on Sunday, a 7.1 mile race in Litchfield, CT. Her time of 40:04 was good for 13th place among men and bested the second place female finisher by ten seconds. Next up for Pasca is the Alliant Energy 8k in Cedar Rapids, IA on July 4th…

Stephanie Reilly gets “A” Qualifer at Adidas Grand Prix

Stephanie Reilly placed 7th at the Adidas Grand Prix in New York City, one of the top track and field events in the world this year.  Her time of 9:42.91 was a personal best by almost six seconds and is under the "A" standard for the IAAF World Track and Field Championships to be held in Daegu, South Korea. Stephanie will likely be named to the Irish team that will compete in the Championships later this summer…

Empire Athletics signs elite marathoner Natasha LaBeaud

Natasha LaBeaud is a 2009 graduate of Georgetown University, where she placed for her team in the NCAA Cross Country Championships for three consecutive years  and qualified twice in the NCAA 10,000 meters. She also won her first National title in the Junior American 5k and qualified for the Junior World Championships in Beijing in 2006.  After getting her graduate degree in 2010, Natasha began training for the longer distances under Greg McMilan at Team USA Arizona. Camille Herron and Luke Watson win Fargo Marathon

Luke Watson won the Scheels Fargo Marathon on Saturday in 2:22:50 while Camille Herron placed first in the women's division and was 11th overall in 2:43:41.  This was Luke's second marathon win of the year and Camille's third win in four attempts. With temperatures in the low 60s and high humidity, conditions were not ideal for fast times but both athletes won with few challenges from competitors. Click here to read a recap on Camille's race

Stephanie Reilly places third at Occidental Steeplechase

At the USATF Occidental High Performance Meet on May 21, Stephanie Reilly placed third in the 3k steeplechase, running a seasonal best of 9:49.78.   Click here to watch the race.  She will seek to lower her time to under 9:43:00 in hopes to represent Ireland at the IAAF World Track and Field Championships this summer.

Matt Gabrielson is fifth at the USA 25k Championships

Matt Gabrielson placed 5th in 1:17:50 at the Fifth Third River Bank Run held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, which served as the USA 25k Championship. The race was a great tune up for Grandmas Marathon on June 18th. Click here to see a post-race interview.

Empire Athletics signs elite Steeplechaser Stephanie Reilly

Empire Athletics is pleased to announce the addition of Stephanie Reilly to its roster of athletes. Stephanie is an elite Irish steeplechaser with a 9:48 personal best in the event. She represented Ireland at the 2010 European Track Championships in Barcelona, Spain and was the 2010 Irish National Runner-up in the 1500 meter run. Camille Herron and Tyler McCandless place well at the Indy Mini-Marathon

At the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini Marathon, a half marathon, Camille Herron and Tyler McCandless both placed in the top ten of the elite professional field.  Camille set a new personal best of 1:16:36 as she was the fastest Indiana runner and fourth woman overall.
